Aunt Sammi's Pet Sitting - Providing Loving Care When You're Not There
All of Aunt Sammi's pets have been rescued.  Each one was severely abused.  Aunt Sammi rehabilitated each of her pets herself.

Sidney a.k.a. "Fiesty Old Lady" is a 14year old Pit Bull.  Aunt Sammi found her at approximately 6 months old.  Sidney was a bully, also known as a bait dog.  She was only about 10 lbs at 6 months old.  She was cut, emaciated, dehydrated and terrified.  Now she is happy, healthy and quite a character.  In June we will celebrate her 15th birthday!

Gretal a.k.a. "Big Momma" is a lab/bully mix.  She is approximately 11 years old.  A member of Aunt Sammi's family for 7 years now, Gretal lived her first 4 years in the shelter.  She was deemed vicious from being abused.  She delivered a litter of stillborn puppies, and was terrified of men.  Gretal is happy and healthy, and now there is not a vicious bone left in her body!  All she needed was someone she could trust and that would trust and love her as she deserved to be loved!  Gretal, also is the dog that mommies every dog that Aunt Sammi boards.

Fred a.k.a. "Freddy Gums"  a Maltese, has been a member of Aunt Sammi's family for 6 years.  Fred was abused, had pneumonia when we rescued him and dental issues.  We had to have all but 2 teeth pulled, as his mouth was so infected he couldn't even eat.  We couldn't touch Fred's ears and had to talk in low voices around him the first few months we had him, as he was absolutely terrified.  Now, he is the most ferocious protector of the brood!  Freddy is also a fantastic dancer! He has an entire skit that he gladly performs! It is with great sadness that we had to say goodbye to our sweet Freddy.  On October 10, 2011 our baby boy crossed over The Rainbow Bridge after battling cancer, congestive heart failure, heart disease and a heart murmur.  He was diagnosed in May 2011 and we did everything possible to save him.  Unfortunately, God needed our little guy in Heaven with Him.  Rest in peace my lovely little man.  You will be greatly missed every day.  I thank God for the 6 years we were able to show you what it was like to be spoiled rotten, happy and loved.  I will miss and love you always.

 Ivy another beautiful Pit
Bull is the newest addition to Aunt Sammi's family!  She is approximately 3 years old and has a long, sad history of abuse.  Now she is with us as a permanent member of our family!  Ivy has come such a long way since we brought her home in 2009. She finally has made peace with abuse she suffered and is no longer afraid of men and is no longer afraid to be loved.  Ivy is such a sweetheart and a wonderful addition to our brood!  She is a lovebug and can't wait to give kisses and show off her frisbee playing skills.  Her favorite hobby is laying in the bay window with Joe.

Bree a beautiful Calico is approximately 9 years old and has been a member of our family for about 8 years.  Bree was left in an abandoned car.  When we found her, she had pneumonia and was very sick.  Now happy and healthy at 8 lbs, she is a chatterbox.  Always ready to talk.

Jeter  was found on the street in South Philly 7 years ago.  He, as well as his brother and sister, was abandoned by his mommy.  Aunt Sammi's friend found the trio, and nursed them all back to health.  Aunt Sammi took Jeter home when he was 8 weeks old.  He's now 17 lbs of love!  All he wants to do is play, cuddle and eat!

Summer a dilute Calico, has been a member of our family for 6 years now.  She was a rescue from the Collingswood Stray Fund at Rothman Animal Hospital.  Summer was the only kitten left in their great big kitty room, and when Aunt Sammi saw her it was love at first sight!   She's 30 lbs of lap cat!  Her favorite treat is Kitty Kaviar and she will gladly sing for it!

 Joe a.k.a. "Joe the Kitten"
is a Russian Blue mix and is 2 years old.  Aunt Sammi found Joe and his sibling at 4 weeks old.  We couldn't save his sibling, but we nursed Joe back to health!  When Aunt Sammi found Joe, he weighed only 10 oz. and was severly dehydrated.  Aunt Sammi bottle fed him and he grew big and strong!  Joe loves to chase the laser beam and lay in our bay window with Ivy.
